Questions about Cyprus

Not listed? Ask it on your strategy call.

What is the 60 day rule?

You can be tax resident in Cyprus with 60 days a year there, if you spend no more than 183 days in any other single country, are not tax resident elsewhere, keep a home in Cyprus and work or run a business there.

Are dividends really tax-free?

As a non-dom you pay no special defence contribution on dividends and interest. You do pay the 2.65% health contribution (GESY) on dividends, up to an annual income cap.

Did the corporate rate go up?

Yes. Cyprus raised its corporate tax rate from 12.5% to 15% as of 2026. Combined with the non-dom regime, the total burden on distributed profit remains far below most of Western Europe.

How much substance do I need?

Enough that management and control demonstrably sit in Cyprus: a local office, board meetings held there and directors who take the decisions. We size it to your profit, so it is not a cost you carry for show.
